Welcome to Y Goeden Eirin
|Y Goeden Eirin is situated in the hamlet of Dolydd between Bontnewydd and Groeslon in Gwynedd. It was originally a granite cowshed belonging to Hendre Farm, but it was sympathetically renovated as a dwelling house at the beginning of the nineteen eighties. A very successful small licensed restaurant was run there by the present owners for a few years, but the house was then sold, and ceased to be a restaurant.|
It was bought back once more by the original owners in 2003, and this we decided to offer bed and breakfast as well as an evening meal in our licensed dining room. We offer a personal welcome to visitors from around the globe in a home which has a thoroughly Welsh atmosphere and where Welsh is the lingua franca.
“The welcoming Eluned and John have created an unusually delightful space … Bathrooms are chic. Wonderful food is served alongside the Bechstein in the beamed dining room … a stylish spot from which to explore the country.’

'Dear Dr John & Mrs Eluned Rowlands, We're just writing to let you know that we've had a deeply complimentary letter, sprinkled with warm sentiments, about you and your home. I know that folk are far more likely to put pen to paper when they feel thay have a complaint, so this is praise indeed... we do appreciate that this glowing feedback is the result of your doing things extraordinarily well. Best wishes, Nicola Cross.'
